Do you have bad eyes like I do? I had honestly thought I had escaped this gene from both my parents until last year! I started getting terrible headaches and realized that I was not seeing road signs as well as I should be, so I headed to the optometrist. Sure enough, it was time for eyeglasses. I really don’t know if it is just because my age is at that turning point that I things start to change (for the worse)or if it was the toxic drywall. I have heard that the drywall can affect your eyes, so I guess one will never know.
Prescription glasses have really taken some getting used to for me. I guess I have always been a little bit vain, and to have to wear these glasses really bother me. I am determined to make the best of it though. I went with two pairs of really funky glasses that stand out and are fun rather than attempting to hide them or make the “blend” into my face. Hey, if I have to wear them I should have fun while doing it right??
I’ve often considered getting contacts but am really unsure if I can get used to “poking” something into my eye. Until them I am just enjoying all the funky eyeglass frames I can find!

I tried contacts once.. and then I couldn't get them OUT of my eye haha. It was terrible! I like my glasses :p I need some updated frames though. They'll def be chunky and plastic still.. but something different. I dunno.
i need new glasses, mine are really old! I wear contacts all the time but like to have glasses at night, or when I'm sick, or just really lazy. I'm planing on getting a new pair whenever I get my rx from my doctor (I had him write it down and then I threw it away on accident!). I'll have to check that site out!
I think you look cute with glasses. I guess it's a matter of making them a fashion thing, as you say, have fun with them. I'm not good at that fashion stuff, but I know you are. Go get yourself some huge, really conspicuous neon pink glasses with pointy edges or something that screams LOOK AT ME. :)
I have been where contacts since 97 and love them...I have had glasses since 95 and I switch them out...depending on what I'm doing that day. You look really cute in glasses, but I can understand the love hate relationship...if I didn't have my contact lenses I know I would feel the same way.
I gave been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old... a REALLY long time. :-)
I got contact lenses when I was 17 and have loved them since then, but still need glasses for when I take them out.
I now also wear reading glasses to wear over my contacts. I am just like you, if you have to wear them, make them cool!
