Abrams Books offers the best in children's books!

I am an avid reader, and I am raising my son to be as well. He is also fascinated with learning new things, new words…anything. At this age, they are a sponge and we should expose them to lots of things to stimulate their mind. I recently received a few great book from Abrams Books, a store I love.

The first is Hippopposites which is such a fun, opposite’s book. It has some of the normal opposites you see in other books, but also some different ones. It definitely gives a new view on opposites…..from full to empty, soft to rough, light to heavy. My son and I enjoy going over this together!

The next book is World of Wonders. This is such a cool book and I learned facts from this book. It contains all kinds of useful (and maybe not so useful knowledge) like the worlds heaviest seed, the fastest fish, and which animal’s heart beats the fastest. It also opens up doors to talk to your children about major earth events like Hurricane Katrina. Though I feel like this book is a little more advanced for my four year old, we read a few facts every night, and he seems really interested. I love it because it is such a way to talk about things we never would have before, and I even told him of my life’s dream to see the Aurora Borealis.


I have reviewed a little Pim book before, but I continue to be impressed. It is not so much about the material covered in the books- this book is Little Pim Animals, which my son obviously know- but I am impressed by the language. It tells you animal names in both French and Spanish, and it is never too early to start your child on a foreign language!




So, as you can see, Abrams Books offers a wide variety of excellent reads. I have really enjoyed everything we have received from them, and know you will enjoy taking a look around their store. There is truly something for everyone!!
