I had never heard of a brag board until recently, and when I discovered them, I thought they were the most clever design. I was tired of my little man’s art work cluttering my fridge but I never had the heart to take the art down. We recently moved to a much bigger place, and now my son has an entire living room dedicated as his “play room.” This is such a fun room and I knew a brag board would be the perfect addiction to show off his work with pride.
Erin from Words2liveby agreed to send me her fabulous creation made with my custom color (green to make little man happy) and it says, “look what I did” this is fabulous because we can even use this for report cards and other items when he gets past the preschool years. We simply love the brag board, and have received so many compliments from people. Most people think it is a fabulous idea, and such a nifty way to compliment a room. Little man is constantly adding things to his collection on the board.
I asked Erin why she decided to create an etsy shop and she said:
Well, I only recently started my shop, about 2 months ago. I was shopping on Etsy one day for a Family Rules sign, and found just the right one. Well, when I went to purchase it a few weeks later, that specific shop was shut down. So I set out to make my own. Ever since then I have been making custom Family Rules and Family Name signs and many other signs for the family. With a lot of coaxing from family and friends I opened up Words2LiveBy. In addition to Etsy, I have started selling at local craft fairs. I just love the responses I get when the custom pieces arrive on my customers doorstep, it fills my heart with joy. I can't imagine doing anything else.
