I had the opportunity to review an amazing necklace from KangarooCare for moms & babies. Their necklaces are great for breastfeeding, babywearing, even teething. They're 100% natural and eco-friendly.

I am still nursing my 18 month old daughter, and she is completely in that perpetual energy toddler phase. She never sits still these days, even while nursing! She has a gold medal in "gymnurstics", she twiddles and pulls my hair (before I chopped it off), or she'll pinch my other breast or neck. So, I began the search for a nursing necklace that was natural, green and something I wasn't afraid for my daughter to touch or put in her mouth. I needed something to keep her hands busy while she was enjoying her mamas milkies. That's when I found KangarooCare over on Etsy. 


The owner of KangarooCare is awesome. She gave me a few options from which to choose, and I chose the Apple Wood Nursing Necklace/Teething Toy in oatmeal, mint green and chocolate brown. I was so excited to receive the necklace. 

I love the colors- the earthy tones make it something I know I will wear often- not just for baby. The wood beads and pendant are made from organic applewood. The colored beads are wood covered in crocheted cotton, so the texture is fun for baby to play with, touch, and even gnaw on in their mouths. It provides a great sensory experience through texture, smell and sight. I absolutely love that this gives little new  babies the ability to grab and try to bring it to their mouths, even for the bigger ones to chew on if they are teething.  One other thing I didn't expect to be excited about is that I love that it has a long cotton cord, so that makes this necklace very versatile in length. You can wear it up high for babywearing, down low for nursing, or wherever just for wearing out and about.

That makes this a mommy must have in my book! Her prices are amazing and she ships worldwide. Buy one for yourself or for a friend's baby shower!
